2008 Campaign

In 2008, David plans to race 26 times, the same number as last season.  DKT will compete 26 out of 37 weekends.  In the past, David completed two double headers or Saturday/Sunday races in 2006: Lifetime Fitness Triathlon/Heart of the Lakes Triathlon and Pacific Grove Triathlon/LA Triathlon.  This year there are now double headers on the schedule.  New for this season David will start racing 5 weeks early at the Desert Classic Duathlon in Phoenix, AZ.  The last race of the season will most likely be the Clearwater 70.3 in FL.  The focus of David’s schedule is on the non-drafting Olympic-distance classics of triathlon and a number of half or long-distance triathlons.  Once again, Life Time Fitness Triathlon in Minneapolis, MN will be one of David’s key races where he hopes to show off his talents in front a hometown crowed.

David will still race on a series of local races around St Paul and in Minnesota.  These races helped develop his skills as a triathlete, and he continues to in enjoy the competitive and friendly  atmosphere at these events.  Most of these races on part of the Midwest Multisport Series.

During the season David:

· Will fly over 60,000 airline miles,

· Pack and unpack a bike at least 21 times,

· Cram race gear into a suitcase 48 times,

· Have only 7 opportunities to sleep in on Sunday,

· Have the airlines lose his bike at least twice

· Pay an estimated $2400 in airline bike box charges.
